Parents Meeting 9/28 and beyond

Next Monday, September 28 is the parents meeting (previous email was a date typo). Scouts will attend with a family representative (parent/grandparent). Please let me know if you are unable to make.

I challenged the scouts to try to sell popcorn to 10 people via call/text/email by the 28th. Show Mrs Mayback your list of  10 people to be entered in a drawing for an Amazon Gift Card! Scouts have the challenge of selling $500 each to have the opportunity to attend the Electronics Campout Weekend in March. Popcorn sales continue until the end of October.

October 3: work day for Nativity 9am-12pm. Service hours to those who attend. Paula’s Donuts will be served. Power washing, landscaping, painting oh my! Wear old clothes. The following scouts said they can help: Mr. Shotwell, Jackson, Gavin, Josh, Caden, Andrew, Daniel, Jase, Kenneth and Sean.

October 5: Citizenship in the Community merit badge night. Visit from Deputy County Executive will attend as a merit badge requirement.

October 12: no meeting due to holiday.

October 16-18: Herkimer KOA and Diamond Mines Campout. Tent camping. $75 per person. This includes food, campsite costs, the Geology Merit Badge and mining time on Saturday. It is 3 hour drive to get there. Making arrangements for enough drivers will be important.  The following scouts said they would like to go: Mr. Dahlke, Lara, Andrew, Jill & Jase (arriving Saturday), Evan, Alex, Gavin, Caden, Josh, Daniel, Henry and Oliver. Please let me know if more Scouts/Parents want to attend. $75 payment is  due no later than October 13th in order to attend.
